If you enjoy the outdoors, Clarendon County may seem like heaven! From boating, fishing, hiking and hunting to golf on some of the world’s finest courses, Clarendon offers outdoor enthusiasts a buffet of things to do.

Beautiful Lake Marion offers anglers a broad range of fishing pleasures.

Known for championship-level catches of striped bass, Clarendon’s Lake Marion is home to several professional bass fishing tournaments including the world-famous Citgo/Bassmasters Tournament and the Wal-Mart/FLW tour. Fishing guides are available to help you guarantee a tremendous time on the lake.

If you like a little more fight in your fish, you won’t want to miss the catfish on Lake Marion. Reader’s Digest magazine named Lake Marion one of “America’s 100 Best” for fishing and specifically pointed to the lake’s catfish.

Golf Course Clarendon County has an abundance of opportunities for world-class golfing. There are five courses in the county and more than 100 courses within a quick and easy drive. With mild winters and glorious springs and falls, golf is a year-round delight in Clarendon County.

Hunting is also a popular pastime in Clarendon County. Whether you prefer deer, turkey or other small game, the woodlands of Clarendon County offer hunters a true treasure. There are several sporting clay operations throughout the county as well as hunting preserves devoted to providing hunters a controlled good time.
